LGV Driver Training

Intensive 1 on 1 training for licence categories C (Class 2) and CE (Class 1). Thorough preparation for every aspect of the DVSA testing requirements including 3a practice and assessment on our own, private DVSA approved assessing area.

Complete support on the full procedure from initial form filling in, booking medical and theories, tuition, testing and lastly, module 4 (initial CPC). Learn in modern, automatic articulated (NOT wagon and drag) vehicles (class 1).

We do not guarantee a pass, like others. Those that do guarantee passes are taking an unnecessary payment which means you are paying for a retest which you may not need.

LGV Class 1 Training

With an LGV Class 1 licence (Cat CE), you can drive articulated or drawbar vehicles up to a weight of 44 tonnes. We do not offer courses in a drawbar combination, they are seldomly used on the UK roads and feel your tuition would not reflect a real-life situation, we only use modern, articulated combinations.

Direct access courses to obtain an LGV Class 1 licence from possessing a car licence are currently available. Our recommended tuition time including your test day is 36 hours, however, some have been lucky enough to reduce to 31.5 hours!

This course is also suitable for those that possess an LGV Class 2 licence wanting to progress their career and add an additional entitlement to their existing vocational licence. We would recommend a total of 22 hours including your test day for this particular course, however, many have been fortunate enough to complete this in 18 hours.

LGV Class 2 Training

With an LGV Class 2 licence (Cat C), you can drive a rigid vehicle up to a weight of 32 tonnes. Ordinarily, these vehicles are used for more local work rather than long-distance trunking, purely because of pallet spaces available on the vehicle.

This course is suitable for those that possess a car licence and want to enter the world of transport. We would recommend a total of 22 hours for this course, but some have been fortunate to complete it within 18 hours.

Refresher Training

As with most aspects of training undertaken throughout your career, the real learning begins once you have passed your tests! We feel it is very important to be industry ready once you have obtained your vocational licence and therefore offer advanced training to boost your confidence in obtaining employment.
The course briefly comprises of;

• Tachograph usage.
• More in depth use of vehicle controls and vehicle checks.
• Bay reversing including 90 degree turns and ‘blind side’.
• Load securing.

Industry Ready Advanced LGV Training

As with most aspects of training undertaken throughout your career, the real learning begins once you have passed your tests! We feel it is very important to be industry ready once you have obtained your vocational licence and therefore offer advanced training to boost your confidence in obtaining employment.
