Driver CPC Training Chester
If you’re looking for high-quality Driver CPC training courses in Chester, Driver Link is here to help you succeed.
Our commitment to excellence means that we always deliver training that is more than just ticking a box – we want our clients to engage with the material, learn, and enjoy the process.
As part of our dedication to providing the best training possible, we have put together a comprehensive Driver CPC Consortium package specifically designed to help small training companies, transport firms, driving instructors, and existing Consortium members deliver courses with ease and efficiency.
With 12 x 3.5 hours of approved courses ready to deliver, our package takes care of all the fees and administration work involved in getting your company and course material approved by DVSA.
Our experienced trainers have developed each of our courses with the goal of making them both relevant and interesting, using Qwizdom software to ensure that each student stays engaged and retains the information they learn.
We are proud to deliver material to the industry in a way that truly sets us apart, and we are confident that our approach will help you succeed.
LGV Training Chester
Our intensive 1 on 1 training programme prepares you for every aspect of the DVSA testing requirements, including 3a practice and assessment on our own private, DVSA-approved assessing area.
Plus, we provide complete support on everything from filling out initial forms and booking medical and theory tests to tuition, testing, and the module 4 initial CPC.
We offer training for both LGV Class 1 and Class 2 licences. With an LGV Class 1 licence (Cat CE), you can drive articulated or drawbar vehicles up to a weight of 44 tonnes.
Our recommended tuition time for this course, including your test day, is 36 hours, though lucky students have completed it in as little as 31.5 hours!
We only use modern, automatic articulated vehicles in our training to ensure that you’re learning in a real-life environment.
For those with an LGV Class 2 licence (Cat C), we offer training for rigid vehicles up to a weight of 32 tonnes. This licence is ideal for more local work rather than long-distance trunking due to the limited pallet spaces available on the vehicle.
Our recommended tuition time for this course, including your test day, is 22 hours, though some have completed it in as little as 18 hours.
In addition to our standard LGV training programmes, we also offer refresher training to ensure you’re industry-ready once you’ve obtained your vocational licence.
This programme covers tachograph usage, more in-depth use of vehicle controls and checks, bay reversing, including 90-degree turns and “blind side” manoeuvres, and load securing.
ADR Training Chester
Our company is DVSA licensed, and our instructors are experienced in the safe movement of dangerous goods, ensuring that your staff are trained at the highest standard possible.
It’s important to note that not just any company can carry out ADR training.
Only DVSA-licensed companies are authorized to provide ADR training, and they are continually vetted by the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) to ensure that basic standards are being met and the training is being conducted correctly.
At Driver Link, we meet all of these requirements and offer comprehensive training in ADR.
During our ADR training, students will not only be tested on their theoretical understanding, but will also undergo three practical exercises.
Our courses include different modules depending on the dangerous goods being carried. All courses must include the core module and can then be supplemented by specific class or vehicle-type ADR training.
The most cost-effective and usual route for companies that carry many different goods in packages and bulk (such as tippers) is to take the following modules: Core, Packages and Bulk, Classes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9.
For tanker companies, such as those in the petroleum and waste industries, the following modules would be taken: Core, Class 3, and Tankers (petroleum) or Core, Classes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and Tankers (waste).
However, the route taken is entirely your choice, and we will be happy to discuss your specific needs.
